Moving Walkways

Escalators are machines designed for the safe transfer of people. They are not suitable for transporting loads. Although escalators seem to be generally used in shopping malls, they can be used in every multi storey building with human transportation. It does not require a closed pit as in an elevator. In buildings with high traffic density, the cost is less than the elevator. At the same rate, the transfer times are also shorter. Escalators take up less space, have high user reliability, serve more efficiently to institutions with high traffic density, and contribute to building aesthetics, making them more advantageous than elevators. At this point, the preference is entirely up to the user. Of course, this does not mean using only the escalator in an architecture. Especially in institutions which are open to public service, escalators for disabled users should be supported with elevators that comply with the disability standards, as required by the disability regulations.
